About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a challenging and rewarding position within a successful corporate entity.
The role reports directly to the Managing Legal Counsel and involves collaborating closely with other members of the legal team as well as partnering with stakeholders across all business functions to drive strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial and property agreements such as confidentiality agreements, consultancy agreements, minor works agreements, and construction agreements
* Providing support for leasing matters
* Managing tenant disputes
* Assisting teams with property acquisition, disposal, and capital and/or co-investment opportunities and mandate matters as required
* Updating precedent documents, conducting research, and delivering training to the business
Requirements
* A proactive lawyer with experience in transactional commercial property law
* A minimum of 7 years' PQE from a reputable law firm or similar in-house environment
* Prior experience in high-value property acquisitions
* Proficiency in managing leases ideally in the retail sector
* Some knowledge of construction law would be beneficial
