Position Profile:
Plan, set and achieve agreed sales targets and profit budgets by actively managing and strategically grow existing accounts
Identify customer needs and recommending appropriate product ranges to achieve profitable growth
Seek and build new business and develop opportunities focusing on supermarkets and fruit markets, etc.
Contribute on both a strategic and operational level in the marketing of products and promotional activities.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Business Development
* Seek new customer accounts and ensure new businesses are sustainable through providing superior customer service.
* Develop and update knowledge of company's and other competitors' products.
* Analyse competitor activities as well as product, market and industry trends and respond by monitoring your portfolio sales performance, conducting product promotions and expanding the company's market share.
* Regularly visits clients to show product samples and takes orders.
* Regularly review customer's performance with regard to volume purchased and credit performances.
* Assist finance with monthly debt collection, particularly those accounts with poor payment records.
Marketing & Promotions
* Work with the Sales & Marketing team and contribute new product launch ideas and implementing marketing concepts.
* Identify advertising opportunities and in-store promotions opportunities. Participate in or conduct promotional exhibitions if the opportunity presents itself or when required.
Skills Required
* Exposure to the food industry essential
* Customer orientation and ability to build relationships internally & externally
* Self motivation
