Position Overview
Super paid on all hours worked & great $$$ rates paid
* Role: Mechanical Project Engineer- Rail Project
* Roster: Monday-Friday (occasional Saturday as required)
* Hours: 10 hours per day
* Duration: 3-6 months (potential to extend)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Location: Brisbane, QLD
Scope of Work
* Coordinate and deliver mechanical engineering activities across a major rail infrastructure project.
* Support installation, construction, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and associated infrastructure.
* Manage project interfaces across mechanical, electrical, civil and rail systems teams.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, scopes of work and project documentation.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule and to specification.
* Assist with project planning, scheduling, forecasting, reporting and progress tracking.
* Monitor project risks, site productivity and construction progress, providing solutions to support successful project delivery.
* Support quality assurance processes including inspections, ITPs, NCRs and commissioning documentation.
* Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, rail safety requirements and project quality standards.
* Participate in project meetings, toolbox talks, pre‐starts and stakeholder coordination activities.
About You
* Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in mechanical project engineering within rail, infrastructure, mining, utilities or major construction projects.
* Strong understanding of mechanical construction, installation, testing and commissioning processes.
* Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management and coordination skills.
* Ability to work effectively in fast‐paced project environments and manage competing priorities.
* Strong commitment to safety, quality and project delivery outcomes.
