Acoustic Works Pty Ltd seeks to employ an acoustic consultant with over 1-2 year’s experience in our Robina office in the Gold Coast. All applicants are preferred to hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, science or Masters in Design Science.
Acoustic Works Pty Ltd provides consulting advice to clients including town planners, developers, builders, architects, project managers and others to address noise emissions from developments and also internal noise within developments. The key focuses are improving environmental outcomes, reducing noise impacts and improving acoustic amenity.
Applicants must demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving, sound skills in report writing with good communication and presentation. Training will be provided to promote career growth and experience, with salary determined based on the competency of the successful applicant.
Job requirements include:
* Demonstrate a high standard of competency in communication, including reading, writing and grammar.
* Experience with site work, road traffic and environmental noise assessments
* Exposure to building acoustics or be willing to learn
* Exposure to Soundplan or willing to learn
* Occasional work outside of normal work hours as may be necessary on certain projects (accrued on a time-in-lieu basis)
* Hold a current Australian driver's license
* Work with senior staff for direction and instruction as necessary to improve your knowledge
* Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
