We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to join our team at McGrath Devonport, a leading residential real estate agency in the Devonport area. As Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring optimal tenant and landlord satisfaction. This is a full-time position based in our Devonport, Tasmania office.
What you'll be doing
Manage a portfolio of residential properties, including single-family homes, apartments, and townhouses
Coordinate property inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure properties are well-maintained
Screen and select qualified tenants, negotiate and prepare lease agreements
Manage the collection of rent payments and address any tenant issues or concerns
Communicate effectively with landlords, providing regular updates and addressing their needs
Ensure compliance with all relevant real estate laws and regulations
Contribute to the growth and development of the property management division
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in residential property management or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with landlords, tenants, and contractors
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Thorough understanding of residential tenancy laws and regulations
Proficient in using property management software and other relevant technology
A customer-focused approach and a commitment to providing exceptional service
A valid real estate license or the ability to obtain one
