Role Purpose As the Hardware Team Leader, you will guide a team of skilled engineers in the design and delivery of cutting edge hardware solutions for advanced communication and signal processing systems.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise and leadership, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards while encouraging innovation and collaboration within the team.
The position is permanent and based in Fyshwick, Canberra.

Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop a team of hardware engineers to achieve project objectives.
Allocate resources, manage workloads, and ensure milestones are met on time.
Promote a culture focused on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Technical Oversight Oversee the design of mixed signal (analogue and digital), communication, and signal electronic circuits.
Guide the development of complex multilayer circuit boards, with an emphasis on best practices for high speed PCB design and signal integrity.
Work closely with mechanical and systems engineers to integrate hardware into complete systems.
Quality & Delivery Ensure thorough testing, verification, and integration of circuits and assemblies from prototype through to production.
Drive compliance with industry standards and internal quality processes.
Candidate Profile To succeed in this position, you will ideally possess the following: Tertiary qualifications in Electronics or Communications Engineering (or a related discipline).
Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, including circuit design and PCB layout.
Experience working with high pin count components and high speed PCB design using 2.5D tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams.
Excellent problem solving skills, with a logical and methodical approach to challenges.
Strong communication skills for effective cross functional collaboration.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Desirable Skills and Experience At least five years' experience in hardware design, including a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
Practical experience in designing multilayer PCBs for high speed applications.
Familiarity with signal integrity, electromagnetics, and advanced simulation tools.
