Overview
The Department of Justice and Community Safety is recruiting a Senior Program Coordinator to lead the Independent Prison Visitor Scheme and support incident triage activities. The role involves managing a team, leading volunteer recruitment, and ensuring high‐quality service delivery.
What you will do
* Manage a team and support high‐quality service delivery
* Lead recruitment, training and support of volunteer independent prison visitors
* Coordinate communications, events, reporting and consultation activities
* Monitor incidents, identify emerging issues and raise matters when needed
* Prepare reports, briefs and advice for senior leaders and the Minister for Corrections
About you
You should hold a current Victorian driver licence and have experience working with volunteers or in a not‐for‐profit setting.
* Experience working in a dynamic and sometimes unpredictable environment
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to support team development
* Sound judgement, problem‐solving skills and the ability to manage sensitive information
* Ability to build productive relationships and work across different groups
