Casual /Part time Community Support Worker (Auslan / Sign Language Required)

Nile Disability Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Support Worker with strong Auslan and sign language skills to join our team in Darwin. This role involves supporting people with disability to participate in the community, build independence, and achieve their individual goals.
Responsibilities
* Provide community-based support to participants with disability
* Communicate effectively using Auslan and other sign languages
* Support participants with daily activities, social inclusion, and community access
* Follow NDIS standards, organisational policies, and duty of care requirements
* Work flexible hours on a casual, ongoing basis
* Proven experience using Auslan and sign languages
* Experience working in community services and/or disability support
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional boundaries
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Mandatory Requirements
* Australian Driver's Licence
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Working With Children Check (NT)
* National Police Clearance
* First Aid Certificate
* CPR Certificate
Desirable
* Previous experience supporting Deaf or hard-of-hearing participants
* Knowledge of NDIS policies and person-centred support
