Temporary part‐time provisional rural generalist (Emergency) role delivering high‐quality care within a supportive rural medical team at Mount Isa Hospital.
About The Role
As a provisional rural generalist (Emergency) at Mount Isa Hospital you will provide high‐quality emergency care while continuing your rural generalist training in a supportive, well‐resourced department. You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering care across hospital and outreach settings in a unique remote environment.
In This Role You Will
* Deliver high-quality emergency care within your advanced Emergency Medicine training scope.
* Work collaboratively within a rural generalist and multidisciplinary team.
* Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety.
* Support education and training within an accredited Emergency Department.
Working with Us
Competitive remuneration package based on full‐time equivalent value up to $509,109 – $522,260 per annum (paid pro‐rata for engagement period or part‐time employee). Comprising:
* Base salary ranges between $7,189.50 and $7,414.40 per fortnight (L13‐L14).
* Long service leave and sick leave accrual.
* Five weeks annual recreational leave with 17.5% loading when taken.
* Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.
* Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 35% of base annual salary.
* Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% of base annual salary.
* Motor vehicle allowance.
* Professional development allowance and leave of 3.6 weeks per annum.
* Inaccessibility allowance.

Requirements
* Provisional fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP + FARGP) with an advanced specialist training (AST) in Emergency Medicine.
* Mandatory relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* C‐class motor vehicle licence.
* Pre‐employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including criminal history checks.
* Evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and tuberculosis may be required (VPD risk role).
* A period of probation may apply.
