About the Role
This full‐time, term‐time‐only role is a practical, operational position that supports the day‐to‐day running of the Junior School. Working closely with the Head of Junior School, teaching staff and families, you will manage a broad range of administrative tasks while acting as the daily first point of contact at Junior School Reception. The role also includes a small component of administrative support to the Director of the Early Learning Centre.
Commencement: As soon as possible. Attendance at meetings, events or functions outside standard hours may be required from time to time; time in lieu will apply where applicable.
* Providing day‐to‐day administrative support to the Head of Junior School
* Managing diaries, correspondence, documentation and meeting preparation
* Coordinating Junior School activities, meetings and events
* Acting as the front face of Junior School Reception, welcoming families and visitors
* Managing general Junior School administration and supporting office operations
* Responding to enquiries from staff, parents and external stakeholders
* Supporting communication processes within the Junior School
* Assisting with operational, compliance and reporting tasks
* Providing limited administrative support to the Director of the Early Learning Centre
* Supporting school events, including occasional out‐of‐hours commitments
* Contributing to a professional, friendly and efficiently run Junior School office
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience in an administrative, personal assistant or office coordination role
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* A practical, hands‐on and solutions‐focused approach
* High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
* Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and school systems
* The ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt in a busy environment
* Experience in a school or education setting (desirable)
* A current Employee Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain prior to commencement)
* A demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing
* Availability to support occasional meetings or events outside standard hours
