Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager for our Private Sector sales team focused on growing existing accounts and driving new business.
Key Accountabilities
* Account Management & Growth
o Own and manage a defined portfolio of private sector accounts, focusing on retention, satisfaction, and long‐term growth.
o Build trust‐based relationships with key stakeholders and act as the primary commercial contact.
o Develop account plans to identify upsell, cross‐sell and expansion opportunities.
o Manage the full sales lifecycle within existing accounts, from opportunity identification to negotiation, close, and handover.
* Business Development
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the private sector through proactive prospecting, networking and referrals.
o Leverage professional network to generate new logo opportunities and build pipeline.
o Collaborate with marketing, vendors and internal teams on go‐to‐market initiatives and targeted campaigns.
o Stay informed on market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to uncover growth opportunities.
* Solution & Proposal Development
o Translate customer needs into well‐scoped, value‐driven solutions with pre‐sales and technical teams.
o Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes and business cases that articulate outcomes and value.
o Negotiate commercial terms and vendor pricing to deliver competitive, mutually beneficial agreements.
* Performance & Reporting
o Achieve and exceed sales targets across the account portfolio and new business contributions.
o Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline and forecast information within CRM.
o Provide regular reporting on sales performance, customer activity and market insights.

You are a relationship‐first Account Manager who excels at growing accounts and winning new business. Commercially astute, comfortable managing complex sales cycles, and engaging at both operational and executive levels. You bring a customer‐centric mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance account management priorities with proactive business development.
Experience & Requirements
* Proven track record in account management, growing and retaining customer portfolios.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, pursue and close new business opportunities.
* Strong understanding of IT solutions and services across cloud, connectivity, collaboration, security and managed services.
* Excellent negotiation, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working with vendors and distributors.
* Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
