About the Employer:
We cater to our Indigenous family community through various enterprises including education and training programs for children and youth, a hair salon, second-hand furniture store, coffee van, traditional craft centre, cultural awareness training, and Spinifex skateboards.
Objectively:
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work with schools and service providers to deliver programs for children and youth. The youth ranger program emphasizes community engagement, bush and town trips, camps, cooking, cultural awareness, restorative justice, storytelling, and teaching about country.
Key Duties:
Design and deliver programs, including during school holidays
Ensure compliance with OHS standards
Liaise with community stakeholders
Manage budgets and evaluate programs
Candidate Profile:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Youth, Education, Conservation, Land Management, or Community Development
Stable employment history
Experience with indigenous youth and children programs
Ability to build rapport with indigenous families and youth
Experience within Indigenous communities is preferred
Current driver’s license and 4WD experience
