The role
Job Summary
The Physiotherapist will use clinical expertise and skills to provide highly responsive person‐centred care in a home care setting. They will independently undertake assessments, design personalized programs and strategies to maximise client function, independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Independently and professionally undertake assessments of clients within the home care setting.
- Determine individual capabilities and apply specialist knowledge to design personalized programs, treatments and strategies.
- Assess and manage common concerns including decreased mobility, falls and pain‐related issues.
- Support client comfort and independence, assisting formal and informal carers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team planning and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
- Oversee junior staff and Allied Health Assistants as required.
Qualifications
- Recognised tertiary qualification in physiotherapy and current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated experience working in home care and residential aged care.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent clinical, time‐management, organisational and communication skills.
- Professional written, oral and verbal communication skills, including computer literacy.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Resilient, compassionate, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client‐centred care.
Required Certifications / Evidence
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders.
- Current National Police Check Certificate.
- Current drivers' licence.

Location: Geelong. Employment type: Full time, 9am–5pm.
