TheOpportunity
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley has beensuccessful in receiving many important strategic grants which willtransform the town of Kununurra and Wyndham in the EastKimberley.This is a rare and challenging career opportunity to joina dynamic local government where you can make a difference throughthe delivery of critical projects and services that contribute tothe Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley's strategic objective ofconnecting our cultures, striving for prosperity, celebrating thespirit of country and community. This maximum term positionof up to two years and under the direction of the DirectorInfrastructure and Strategic Projects, will manage the planning,coordination, and delivery of high-value capital works andprojects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, withinscope and budget, and in accordance with relevant legislative andregulatory requirements and requires a strong focus on stakeholderengagement, risk management, and project governance while fosteringa culture of safety, collaboration, and continuousimprovement.
Workingclosely with the Director Infrastructure and StrategicProjects and members of the Executive Management Team, as well asother internal and external stakeholders, you will manageidentified projects, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery.Key responsibilties include:
* Definingscope, milestones, and delivery schedules in collaboration withkey stakeholders
* Ensuringalignment with the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley's projectgovernance and methodologies
* Managingend-to-end execution of projects, ensuring timely andwithin-budget delivery
* Maintaining accurateproject documentation and reporting
* Identifying andmitigating risks, ensuring ongoing qualityassurance
* Facilitatingcommunication to ensure transparency andalignment
