The fixed‐term employment register is designed to provide TASCAT with a pool of suitable applicants to undertake the duties of Registry Clerk or Senior Registry Clerk on a fixed‐term basis. Prior training, experience and qualifications are not required but high‐level administrative skills are recommended. Flexible options will be considered regarding part‐time hours.
Registry Clerk
Salary range: $74,783.00 – $80,835.00 (pro rata), Tasmanian State Service Award, General Stream Band 3
Registry Clerks support the Principal Registrar by providing high‐level administrative support that contributes to the operation of the Tribunal.
Senior Registry Clerk
Salary range: $83,011.00 – $95,547.00 (pro rata), Tasmanian State Service Award, General Stream Band 4
Senior Registry Clerks provide and supervise administrative tasks that contribute to the operation of the Protective Division of the Tribunal. They provide advice, guidance and support to Registry Clerks.
Essential and Pre‐Employment Requirements
The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre‐employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
The following checks are to be conducted:
* National Police Record checks for arson, violent crimes, sex‐related offences, drug and alcohol offences, dishonesty, deception, conspiracy, false declarations, malicious damage, serious traffic offences, public order offences, and offences relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or Legislative Power.
* Disciplinary action in previous employment.
