Role Overview
In this role the Communications Manager will support with the planning, management, and delivery of internal communications across Datacom Australia
Role Responsibilities
The Communications Manager role is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Supporting other members of the communications team and other key stakeholders across the business with writing, editing and distributing content across various communications channels
- Supporting Australia's employee engagement initiatives through internal communications.
- Supporting with the creation of strategic, purpose-driven communication plans for relevant internal stakeholders' business goals and objectives
- Assisting with the development and implementation of an integrated strategic internal communications plan to advance Datacom's brand; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its programs across key stakeholder audiences.
- Ensuring message consistency across all communications.
- Management of Datacom's intranet (Unity).
Role Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in managing communication campaigns using a variety of channels, working both proactively and reactively.
- Sound experience in relationship and stakeholder management.
- Creative thinking with high level attention to detail.
- Operational efficiency and time management.
- Demonstrates a passion for excellence within a team, including a culture of continual learning.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to enhance internal reputation of the team.
- Previous experience as an Internal Communications Advisor or equivalent minimum 3 years.
**MUST**:
- Have previous Communication or Marketing experience.
- Be based in Melbourne, Australia
Key Working Relationships
You'll have experience in building positive relationships and gaining the respect of diverse stakeholders. You will work in with the wider communications team, various marketing managers and specialists as well as other staff and business owners. This role will support the development and creation of Datacom Australia's internal communications to ensure they are aligned with the overall group communications strategy. In this role, you will support how Datacom and the executive team communicates to its internal audiences across Australia.
