Are you passionate about supporting individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse? Join our dedicated team and help improve emotional, social, and mental wellbeing for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

About The Role
As a Counsellor within the Violence, Abuse and Neglect (VAN) Service, you'll provide trauma-informed crisis intervention, counselling, and case coordination for victims of domestic violence and their non-offending family members. You'll work collaboratively with health professionals, NSW Police, and community agencies to ensure clients receive the care they need, when they need it.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

* Delivering crisis assessment and counselling interventions.
* Participating in Domestic Violence Safety Action Meetings and interagency collaboration.
* Providing outreach services and hospital in-reach support.
* Joining the VANS on-call roster for crisis response, including after-hours and weekends.
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service improvement.
* Being a person of female gender is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31H of the Anti-discrimination Act.

$74, $108,943.00 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

What We're Looking For

* Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant health qualification with AHPRA registration.
* Experience in trauma-informed counselling and crisis intervention.
* Strong understanding of domestic violence and child protection frameworks.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness to travel.
