Procurement Leadership Opportunity
The Public Transport Authority seeks a seasoned executive to lead its Procurement Branch and shape the future of procurement in Western Australia's public transport system.
This role requires a leader who can set strategy, deliver results, and uphold the highest standards of governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, overseeing high-value contracts, and ensuring every outcome delivers measurable value to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set the direction of procurement across goods, services, and works
* Lead a high-performing team with strategic leadership skills to inspire and influence
* Oversee high-value contracts while ensuring compliance with legislation and driving procurement initiatives that advance government objectives
* Lift procurement from an operational function to a strategic lever that delivers innovation, efficiency, and performance across the agency
Requirements:
* Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent and extensive experience in procurement of goods, services, and works
* Very good knowledge and understanding of trends, developments, and benchmarks affecting the procurement and contracting environment
* Strategic leadership skills to drive quality outcomes and highly developed leadership and management skills to provide sound strategic direction and support
* High-level written and verbal communications and negotiation skills to effectively communicate at the most senior levels in the private and public sectors
