We're seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operations at our aged care facility in Horsham, VIC. This is more than just a kitchen leadership role — it's an opportunity to enrich lives through food. We are open to sponsoring the right applicant for this role.
* Roster & Salary: Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm, circa $85,000
* Retention bonus of $1,500 at 3 months and a further $1,500 at 6 months.
What you'll do:
* Lead and inspire a dedicated catering team to deliver high-quality, flavoursome meals
* Plan and execute seasonal menus that meet residents' tastes, preferences, and dietary needs
* Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all relevant food safety regulations
* Manage budgets, ordering, and rostering while maintaining cost-efficiency
* Build strong, positive relationships with residents, their families, and the care team
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role in aged care
* A genuine passion for food and the joy it brings to people
* Strong knowledge of aged care catering requirements, including IDDSI and specialised diets
* Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and commitment to compliance
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and organisational skills
