About The Role
Arts, Heritage and Libraries enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.
As a Courier Driver, You Will
* Collect and deliver library material and resources transiting between library service locations and distribution points across the region following an established route and schedule.
* Assist in sorting of materials and resources when required.
* Safely load the vehicle to ensure items are arranged for ease of delivery and appropriately secured to avoid damage, in accordance with instructions.
* Drive in a safe and professional manner, including when manoeuvring vehicle into position for loading and unloading.
* Complete vehicle maintenance checks and report vehicle maintenance needs.
* Complete internal and external cleaning of the vehicle to maintain the condition and presentation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess
* Current 'C' class driver licence.
* Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
* Sound time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently while following established procedures.
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
