Job Title: Industrial Blaster/Painter
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Blaster/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years' experience, with proven competency in both conventional and airless blasting and painting techniques.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of surface preparation and application of coatings using conventional and airless spray equipment. They must be able to perform abrasive blasting and industrial painting in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Surface preparation and application of coatings using conventional and airless spray equipment
* Perform abrasive blasting and industrial painting in accordance with project specifications and safety requirements
* Ensure surface profiles and coating thicknesses meet required standards
* Carry out work in confined spaces and at heights as required
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite, adhering to all WHS policies
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications, and job scopes
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience as an industrial blaster/painter
* Proficient in conventional and airless spray techniques
* Working at Heights certification – Essential
* White Card – Essential
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience in the mining or oil & gas sector
* Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application (preferred but not mandatory)
* NACE Level 1 or 2 certification (advantageous)
* Confined Space Entry certification
* EWP/Scissor Lift ticket
* Previous FIFO or remote work experience
