We are currently searching for full-time warehouse assistants to join our team. This position will be based in Mackay, QLD at our current store, opening November 2024. A warehouse assistant is responsible for for various tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. This role is integral to maintaining organised inventory management, fulfilling orders accurately and promptly, and contributing to a safe and productive working environment. Our store trades 7 days a week so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster.
Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8:35am - 5:10pm
- Saturday: 8:40am - 2:10pm
- Sunday: 9:35am - 1:10pm
(Every third weekend)

As a warehouse assistant you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with inventory management
- Provide assistance in front of store sales
- Performing routine checks on warehouse equipment
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
- Working collaboratively with other warehouse staff, supervisors and departments
- Efficient handling of incoming shipments, including verifying contents, recording received quantities and processing returns
- Timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders by picking items from inventory, packing them securely and preparing them for delivery
- A willingness to learn
- A dedication to accuracy
- Experience with inventory control processes
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Excellent time management, organisational and technical skills
- Experience working collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various temperature conditions typical of warehouse environments
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher management
