Early Years Coach Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Coach to join our Programs and Innovation Team.
This role involves working on a Pilot Project, delivering the primary service provider approach to children with developmental concerns who may not be eligible for NDIS funding.
* This is a maximum term contract (12 months), full-time (38-40 hours per week) opportunity.
The 12-month demonstration pilot aims to provide timely and effective assistance to families, building on the BSL Disability Services Early Supports offer.
As an Early Years Coach, you will manage and deliver the Disability Programs and Innovation Primary Service Provider pilot, working under supervision of trained Early Childhood Specialists in line with the NDIS Early Childhood approach.
About the Program and Innovation Team
The team focuses on creating inclusive, accessible communities, expanding capacity-building opportunities, and advocating for systems aligned with what matters most to people with disabilities.
You will work closely with families and caregivers of children aged 0-5 with developmental differences, supporting goal setting, confidence building, and capacity development.
You will be trained in a coaching and capacity building model to support parents and caregivers effectively.
Responsibilities include developing goals, creating individualised plans, increasing inclusion, and evaluating services, all within community settings across Western Melbourne. Travel within the region is expected.
About You
Applicants should have:
* Certificate IV or higher in early childhood, community services, disability, allied health, education support, or extensive relevant experience supporting families with children with developmental differences.
* Understanding of developmental differences in early childhood.
* Commitment to the social model of disability.
* Knowledge of support services and referral pathways.
