Could you be our next Media and Communications Specialist?
Are you a dynamic PR specialist with a passion for storytelling and a knack for building strong media relationships? Join our team as an External Communications Specialist and help us amplify the McDonald’s brand voice to new heights by driving awareness of McDonald’s impact and growth stories (including Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia) and new product launches.
What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
Developing and delivering a proactive local storytelling calendar to support McDonald’s Australia and Licensees
Driving and supporting impactful brand PR campaigns whilst managing our PR agency
Providing expert communications guidance across business function
Crafting and distributing compelling press materials, owned content development (video, imagery, posts)
Building strong relationships with journalists, influencers and stakeholders
Overseeing our corporate channels including McDonald’s.com and LinkedIn
Coordinating Impact & Corporate Relations Calendars
Handling the daily media inbox with finesse
Maintaining Impact and Corporate Relations Team Measurement and Reporting
Proactively identifying issues and trends of business importance in the media and effectively communicating with relevant departments
Your Keys To Success
Proven track record in delivering standout external communications for retail or FMCG businesses
Skilled in collaborating with journalists and media outlets
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building strong stakeholder relationships
Meticulous attention to detail
Outstanding time management skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment
Ideally, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
