Clinical Nurse Position – Operating Theatres
Unit / Directorate: Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group.
Location: Nedlands.
Work Type: Permanent – Full Time, Permanent – Part Time.

Overview
We currently have multiple full-time equivalent positions available in Booking Assistance, Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose and Throat within the Operating Theatres department.
This role supports a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the operating theatre environment.
Responsibilities
As part of the Operating Theatres department, the Clinical Nurse practises under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s) in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart.
This role provides advanced, comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Clinical Nurse upholds and functions within the core values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity, and acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition and collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be registered as a Registered Nurse in Australia.
Experience in operating theatre nursing and familiarity with theatre protocols is advantageous.
A commitment to the core values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity is essential.
A certificate of Advanced Theatre Nursing or equivalent is desirable.

It is preferable for one of your referees to have been a recent supervisor.
Eligibility to Apply
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
Selection Process
WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process.
As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment.
We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour.
