The Role
As a
Network and Systems Engineer
, you'll take ownership of client environments, ensuring best-practice standards across Microsoft, networking, and security platforms. You'll act as an escalation point for complex issues, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to automation and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, harden, and administer environments across Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Windows Server, and core networking.
Manage patching, backups, monitoring, and ITIL-aligned processes.
Lead troubleshooting for Aruba, Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms.
Implement security controls (MFA, Conditional Access, compliance) and maintain firewall/VPN policies.
Automate tasks using PowerShell and Intune/Autopilot.
Deliver small projects (migrations, upgrades, rollouts) with clear documentation.
Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative culture.
What They Are Looking For
5+ years
in systems/network administration or senior support roles.
Windows Server (AD, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy) and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
Recent hands-on depth with at least two of:
HPE Aruba
(Aruba Central and ClearPass, policy enforcement, role mapping—not just Wi-Fi deployment)
Fortinet
(FortiGate, FortiManager)
Conditional Access strategy
(break glass accounts, device filters, risky sign-ins), MFA/SSPR, and SSO patterns.
PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
Endpoint management (Intune/Autopilot).
Networking fundamentals (routing, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls).
Backup/DR (e.g., Veeam) and performance tuning.
Excellent client communication and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to Have
Relevant certifications (Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Microsoft).
