Crossmuller is an innovative and progressive multi-disciplined company specialising in manufacturing design, automation and systems integration. Our Engineering division designs and constructs manufacturing facilities, refurbishes existing facilities and designs and constructs automation machinery for manufacturing plants and warehouses.
Due to continued growth, Crossmuller is seeking an experienced, hands-on Project Engineer to oversee the delivery of a portfolio of industrial and automation projects. The successful applicant will have a strong background in mechanical systems design and project management, with the capability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop mechanical designs and specifications, select equipment and materials, and lead projects from concept through detailed design, construction, installation, and commissioning
* Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure mechanical installations meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements
* Provide technical leadership and resolve design and construction challenges on-site in collaboration with other engineering disciplines
* Prepare and manage project documentation, schedules, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and teamwork
Requirements and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
* Experience in mechanical project delivery within manufacturing, infrastructure, or industrial environments (an advantage)
* Strong technical competency in mechanical design principles, materials handling systems, piping or plant layout
* Proficient in CAD and engineering software tools; MS Office competency essential
* Demonstrated project coordination and communication skills
* Familiarity with AS/NZS engineering standards and work health and safety requirements
* A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

This is a full-time permanent position within our fast-paced motivated Engineering team.
