Role Overview:
We seek a dynamic and proactive People & Culture Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hiring, managing staff documents, ensuring compliance and continuously improving HR systems and processes. Additionally, you will oversee rostering, training and development for support staff, organise meetings, take meeting minutes and handle HR inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Hiring and Onboarding: Manage the recruitment process from job postings to onboarding new employees.
* Document Management & Compliance: Ensure that all staff documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
* HR Systems & Process Improvement: Continuously develop and enhance HR systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
* Rostering: Create and manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to regulations.
* Training & Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and efficiency of support staff.
* Meeting Coordination: Organise meetings, prepare agendas and take detailed minutes.
* HR Support: Provide prompt responses to HR inquiries from staff, offering guidance and support as needed.
Requirements:
* Advanced Proficiency with MS Office: Strong command of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* HR Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR principles, practices and regulations.
* Rostering Knowledge: Experience in creating and managing staff rosters.
* People Management: Proven experience in managing and developing teams.
* Training Development: Skills in creating and implementing training programs to enhance workforce efficiency.
* Advanced Diploma or Certificate IV in Human Resource.
* Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a multi-cultural workplace.
* Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and legislation.
* Proven experience in an Aboriginal community/health/disability service.
* Practical experience with community-based supports within a person-centered practice framework.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
* Demonstrated experience in managing large teams, workflows and team coordination/supervision.
* Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills.
