Are you a compassionate, resilient, and experienced Disability Support Worker looking for your next challenge? We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in supporting individuals with high and complex support needs, including challenging behaviours.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will work closely with people living with disability to provide safe, person-centred, and empowering support. You'll work in home, community, and supported living environments, helping individuals build independence, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Providing respectful, responsive, and proactive support to individuals with complex behavioural and/or mental health needs.
· Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and reporting behavioural observations accurately.
· Supporting participants with personal care, medication, mealtime management, and daily living tasks.
· Facilitating community engagement and participation.
· Maintaining accurate documentation and incident reporting in line with NDIS and organisational policies.
· Working collaboratively with families, guardians, and allied health professionals.
What We’re Looking For
· Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in disability or mental health support or equivalent. Applicants without experience will be considered with transferable skills.
· A relevant qualification such as Cert III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Mental Health or equivalent preferred.
· Confidence and skills in managing behaviours of concern and implementing PBS strategies.
· Excellent communication, de-escalation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
· Strong commitment to NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
· Essential Requirements:
· NDIS Worker Screening Check.
· National Criminal Record Check.
· Valid Driver’s Licence.
· First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to start at own cost.
