Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Testing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing trains and resolving engineering issues that may arise during the test programme of the project. This involves communicating with the based team and headquarters to fully understand the procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop the test programme and coordinate the activities, different parties, and necessary resources to achieve quality, time, and cost objectives.
* Prepare test methods and execute static and track tests of all trainsets in accordance with validation procedures agreed upon in the project.
* Analyse test data, create test reports, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
* Manage all faults and design validation issues raised during the testing phase and work with project experts and contractors to resolve them.
* Evaluate technical, process, and HSE-related procedures established and followed throughout the entire phase.
Requirements:
* Possess a tertiary qualification or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in prioritising and managing multiple conflicting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, enabling translation of complex technical information clearly and concisely.
* Ability to provide timely, customer-focused specialist engineering advice and support.
* Experience with office management software e.g., MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word).
Desirable Qualifications:
* At least 2 years' experience in similar or related roles.
* Knowledge and understanding of rolling stock systems.
* Knowledge of relevant Australian and international rolling stock standards.
* Experience in testing engineering designs.
* Highly developed problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
