A large construction company is seeking a Safety Advisor for a contract role commencing ASAP.
Your new company
A well-established construction company is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support a project located in regional Tasmania. This is a temporary contract role, operating on a drive‑in Monday and drive‑out Friday basis, with travel arrangements managed accordingly.
Your new role
The role will focus on the proactive interpretation and application of safety management plans, SWMS and relevant legislation, ensuring safety requirements are not only compliant but are being actively followed on site. You will be highly visible in the field, working closely with supervisors and crews to verify that documented controls align with real work activities and on‑site practices.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring a blue‑collar construction background, allowing you to confidently understand on‑site risks, construction methodologies and the realities of project delivery. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with site teams while also ensuring safety documentation, SWMS and procedures accurately reflect what is happening on site. This opportunity will suit a practical, site‑focused safety professional who is comfortable working autonomously in a regional environment and making a meaningful contribution to safety outcomes on an active construction project.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid for all travel and accommodation also provided. This role will see you work with one of the most successful construction businesses and could lead to further work for the right person.
