Overview
Communications Officer (multiple positions) at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).
Role involves delivering strategic, timely and effective communications to QUT’s internal and external audiences, leading the design, development and implementation of cross-functional initiatives to strengthen QUT’s reputation and enhance the student and staff experience. The role may participate in an out-of-hours roster to support monitoring or crisis communications. Hybrid option available.

Remuneration
Remuneration: $120,443 to $131,749 per annum (HEW7) inclusive of $101,775 to $111,330 salary, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading.
Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic, timely and effective communications to internal and external audiences.
- Lead the design, development and implementation of cross-functional communications initiatives to strengthen QUT’s reputation and support institutional priorities.
- Develop campaigns and communications spanning internal communications, corporate messaging, media relations and external engagement with an integrated voice across channels.
- Drive campaigns, contribute to proactive and reactive communications, and collaborate across portfolios to achieve enterprise-wide outcomes.
- Participate in out-of-hours roster as directed for monitoring or crisis communications.
What You Need To Succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in communications, journalism or related area, plus relevant experience.
- A proven track record of designing and delivering communication strategies in a complex organisation.
- Demonstrated organisational skills to work within tight deadlines and balance competing priorities in a small, busy office.
- Sophisticated written communication skills with experience creating content across multiple channels and formats.
- Ability to liaise with a range of specialists and establish partnerships with stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated digital literacy with experience in web, social media, interactive design and/or other digital channels.
