The Role
Safety Bay SHS is seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and innovative Program Coordinator – Student Services to lead and enhance the delivery of student support services across our school community. This leadership role calls for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to student wellbeing, and a proactive approach to driving strategic improvement in the areas of behaviour, attendance, social-emotional learning, and academic engagement.
As the Program Coordinator – Student Services, you would provide strategic leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating proactive and integrated systems of support for students. Oversee the establishment of consistent whole-school processes that empower staff to respond effectively to student behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and learning needs. Lead and support the Student Services team, including staff from diverse professional backgrounds, ensuring a cohesive team and operations aligned with role responsibilities. Collaborate with all school stakeholders to ensure school-wide approaches that foster staff and student wellbeing. The successful applicant will be a leader in restorative practices and trauma informed approaches. The ability to develop and embed a connected and tiered system of support in managing complex cases that promotes positive student behaviour and engagement would be highly desirable.
This position also involves contributing to the ongoing implementation of the school's Business Plan focus areas and ensuring that all actions are data-informed, strategic, and aligned with our school improvement priorities.
