Inviting applications for the role of Process Developer, Credit Verification
In this role, the associate is responsible for controlling credit verification/assessment processes and developing policies to ensure than an acceptable level of risk is maintained.
Responsibilities
* Complete credit verification checks to ensure application input is meeting our bank policy and responsible lending requirements.
* Reaching and maintaining a high level of credit verification/assessment and compliance standards
* Proactively monitoring Credit Risk requirements within an agreed Risk Appetite and managing Non-Compliance promptly
* Ensure Continuing Education points are achieved and maintained
* Meet core role requirements and achieving performance KPls such as throughput/productivity and quaIity
* Provide timely and quality responses to brokers and customers
* Maintain high compliance levels by setting a high standard for file
* Manage workflow from a national queue promptly
* Work in the interests of the team, sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues as appropriate or other teams as specified by line management
* Develop, communicate and implement medium to long-term operating policies, strategies, and tactics that may involve the interpretation and application of broader guidelines.
* Has ultimate accountability for the function and provides the highest level of advice and recommendations when required.
* Ensure operations and strategies and procedures are aligned with general company goals and in accordance with other functions.
Qualifications we seek in you Minimum qualifications
* Tertiary education within business/financial services
* Credit/consumer lending role experience
* Evaluate new/increase credit risk
* Provide advice on structuring transactions
* Evaluate credit risk reviews
* Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Advanced critical reasoning and risk assessment skills
* Segment experience: Consumer Lending
Preferred qualifications
* Previous Banker/Credit analyst experience
* Strong attention to detail with credit checking, ensuring that mortgages are compliant with APRA guidelines
* Strong customer service delivery focus.
