They are seeking a Senior BMS Controls Design Engineer to join their Melbourne team, working on the design, programming, and integration of cutting-edge building management systems.The RoleYou'll be responsible for developing and delivering BMS solutions across major projects, with a strong focus on the Tridium Niagara framework.
This includes system design, programming, integration of IoT devices, and ongoing client support.
You'll also play a key role in transitioning existing platforms to a new AWS-based architecture and contribute to future developments in cloud and AI-driven BMS solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, program, and implement Niagara/Tridium BMS systems for HVAC, lighting, and energy management.Integrate IoT devices and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, LoRaWAN) into building systems.Support and enhance existing solutions using Node-RED, with migration to AWS over the next 6–9 months.Collaborate with software developers on cloud-based analytics and dashboards.Provide technical support, remote troubleshooting, and maintenance for client systems.Mentor junior engineers and support innovation in smart building technologies.About YouMinimum 5 years' hands-on experience with BMS design, programming, and delivery.Strong knowledge of Tridium Niagara and related BMS protocols.Background in HVAC systems, controls, and energy optimisation.Familiarity with Node-RED, SkySpark, or similar IoT platforms (advantageous).
Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Systems preferred (or equivalent experience).
