Engineering Manager – Maintenance (Poultry & Primary Processing)
We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with a poultry and primary processing plant background to lead and optimise maintenance across a high-throughput operation. You’ll blend technical excellence with people leadership to drive reliability, safety, and production throughput in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities
* Direct and oversee maintenance of critical assets to minimise downtime and maximise production throughput
* Plan, prioritise, and schedule maintenance tasks; allocate resources in a fast-paced setting
* Diagnose faults quickly, implement robust preventive maintenance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Lead, coach, and empower a small autonomous maintenance team; promote ownership and collaborative problem-solving
* Communicate effectively with production, quality, and senior leaders; report on maintenance performance and KPIs
* Ensure safety and compliance in all maintenance activities; operate within site vehicle and forklift safety protocols
* Maintain a valid driver’s licence and participate in site safety programs
What we’re looking for
* Demonstrated experience in a poultry/primary processing plant.
* Mechanical trade qualification with broad knowledge of processing and production machinery
* Strong people leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
* Proven ability to prioritise, plan, and work independently under pressure in a high-throughput setting
* Valid driver’s licence; forklift licence or ability to obtain
