Role Purpose & Context
HotDoc exists to improve the healthcare experience for all patients in Australia.
In 2026, our marketing focus will centre on bringing new products to market, deepening customer engagement, and driving adoption and utilisation of key features across our ecosystem.
The Marketing Lead (Parental Leave Cover) is responsible for delivering strategic go-to-market campaigns, elevating adoption and utilisation of new and existing products, and guiding a small, high-impact marketing team. This role ensures marketing remains tightly aligned with business priorities while maintaining strong brand consistency and cross-functional partnership.

The Marketing Lead shapes and drives HotDoc's Core Business (B2B) marketing strategy, with a particular focus on how we take products to market and nurture customer relationships across the lifecycle. This role translates market and customer insights into high-impact marketing plans, ensuring each product launch and lifecycle initiative contributes meaningfully to business growth.
As the manager of a team of marketing specialists, the Marketing Lead is responsible for setting team direction, mentoring talent, and building the operational foundations for scalable marketing execution. They align team priorities with business goals, ensuring marketing efforts are both strategic and measurable.
In close partnership with the Chief Customer and Product Officer (CCPO), the Marketing Lead acts as a senior advisor on go-to-market planning and customer growth initiatives. This role is accountable for ensuring the marketing function is proactive, insight-led, and tightly integrated with HotDoc's broader growth strategy.
By championing collaboration across Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Engineering, the Marketing Lead ensures that the end-to-end customer experience—across touchpoints like onboarding, communications, events, and product interactions—is unified, high-quality, and results-driven.
Key Accountabilities
* Strategic Planning: Plan and implement quarterly marketing plans that include GTM, communications, events, and lifecycle marketing strategies aligned with HotDoc's strategic objectives.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Legal, and Finance to execute on marketing plans with business objectives and growth targets.
* GTM Planning: Own the overall GTM launch process and release calendar.
* Marketing Channel Management: Own all customer marketing channels, including EDMs, in-product messaging, events (live and virtual), and the HotDoc website.
* Pricing, Positioning & Messaging: Support pricing and develop positioning and messaging strategies that maximise product adoption and align with business growth objectives.
* Performance Tracking & Optimisation: Define and measure campaign performance, including KPIs, milestones, and ROI, to optimise marketing efforts for maximum engagement and conversion rates.
* Brand Management: Elevate brand presence through consistent voice and tone, design, and storytelling across all customer-facing marketing efforts.
* Marketing Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of marketing specialists, ensuring the team has the right skills, processes, and resources to execute marketing & business objectives.
* Marketing Budgeting: Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximise ROI

What You Must Have To Apply For This Role
* Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in a comparable role.
* Proven experience in Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, GTM strategy, or General Marketing within a SaaS or technology-driven business, including experimentation techniques.
* Experience using CRMs such as Hubspot, Intercom and WordPress (or similar website tooling).
* Experience in SaaS, primarily specialising B2B activities.
* Strong understanding of marketing elements, including traditional and digital marketing.
* Expertise in market research, customer segmentation, and data analytics to inform marketing strategies and product-led growth approaches.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
* Strong problem-solving mindset and adaptability, with the persistence to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes.
