ADAC Technical Consultant / Technical Asset Consultant
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in civil infrastructure and digital asset delivery. We are open to candidates ranging from students and graduates through to early and mid-career professionals, including those looking to transition from field-based surveying or civil delivery into an office-based technical role.
In this role, you will play a key part in compiling ADAC data and preparing As-Constructed/WAX plans in accordance with Council and Water Authority standards and ADAC requirements. You will work closely with internal project teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality project delivery within agreed timeframes.
Key Responsibilities
* Compile and process ADAC-compliant asset data packages for civil infrastructure projects
* Prepare and draft As-Constructed/WAX plans in accordance with Council and Water Authority standards
* Review project information for completeness, accuracy and compliance with ADAC requirements
* Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, drafters and project teams to ensure efficient project delivery
* Support and optimise existing ADAC workflows and technical processes
* Assist with integrating ADAC requirements into field and office workflows
* Troubleshoot data and drafting issues while maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance
* Manage competing priorities and deliver work within project deadlines
* Maintain accurate project records and documentation
About You
You will be a motivated and detail-focused individual with an interest in civil infrastructure, digital asset data and technical drafting. You may be a recent graduate, currently studying, early in your career, or an experienced professional looking to transition into a more technical office-based role.
You will ideally bring:
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Map3D or similar drafting software
* An understanding of civil engineering assets, as-constructed surveys or infrastructure projects
* Exposure to ADAC standards, Council or Water Authority requirements, or the ability to quickly learn and apply technical standards
* Experience preparing or drafting As-Constructed/WAX plans is highly regarded
* Exposure to GIS platforms and FME will be highly regarded
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* The ability to work both collaboratively and independently
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
