We're one of Australia's leadingfitness companies (ASX-listed, 300+ locations nationwide), andwe're looking for an experienced Handyman / General Maintenanceperson to join our internal facilities team in Canberra and thesurrounding areas. This is a permanent, full-time salaried roledesigned for a practical, self-sufficient professional who takespride in quality work and wants the variety of multi-sitemaintenance with the security of a stable income and a supportiveteam behind them.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

No two days are the same.Across a range of our fitness facilities throughout Canberra andthe surrounding areas, you'll be the go-to person keeping thingsrunning. Your work will include a mix of:

• General repairs and maintenance — patching, painting, door hardware, fixtures and fittings
• Gym equipment servicing and repairs
• Scheduled preventative maintenance tasks
• Responding to reactive callouts and urgent on-site needs
• Supporting new club fit-outs and refurbishments
• High-level cleaning, window cleaning, and periodic deep cleaning
• Ordering and fitting spare parts

You'll manage your own daily workorders, liaise with club staff and area managers, and have genuine ownership of your region — the independence of working across multiple sites, without the overhead of running your own business.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A trade qualification is not essential — what matters most is solid hands‐on experience and a get-it-done attitude. You may be an experienced handyman, a maintenance all-rounder, or a tradesperson looking to move away from sole trading into something more stable and rewarding.

You'll be well suited if you have:

• Proven experience in a handyman, general maintenance, or trade role
• Strong practical skills across building maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment servicing
• Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot problems on the spot
• Experience working across multiple sites or locations
• A proactive, independent work style with a strong sense of ownership
• Clear communication skills and a professional, positive manner with site staff

Essential Certifications & Licences

• Current Driver's Licence
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Working at Heights (or equivalent)
• Silica Dust Hazard Awareness — 10830NAT (mandatory in ACT, desirable elsewhere)
