Shifts: Day and Night Shifts
Position Summary
The Support Worker will provide person-centred, strengths-based support to NDIS participants, ensuring care is guided by each individual's goals, preferences, choices, and cultural needs. You will work in partnership with participants to promote independence, dignity, safety, and wellbeing while delivering high-quality supports aligned with individual support plans.
Support is provided primarily to male participants and may include day and overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred care that respects participant choice, autonomy, and decision-making
Support participants to achieve their individual goals as outlined in their NDIS support plans
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)Deliver personal care, including hygiene and grooming support
Support community access, social participation, and meaningful activities
Assist with meal preparation and daily routines
Provide day and overnight (active or passive) support as required
Assist with and administer medications in accordance with Medication Management training, policies, and participant care plans
Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication at all times
Observe, document, and report changes in participant wellbeing or risks
Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, and the wider care team
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
enrolled in or completed Certificate II or higher in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent relevant experience
Medication Management training (current)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Ability to work independently while delivering consistent, high-quality care
Strong communication, empathy, and professionalism
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience supporting NDIS participants with complex or high-support needs
Experience with day and/or overnight shifts
Knowledge of person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practice
Confidence in documentation and progress notes
Work Environment & Expectations
Flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, and nights
Work primarily within the Adelaide Hills region
Adherence to the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice
Standards Commitment to confidentiality, dignity, and ethical practice

Job Type: Subcontract
Pay: $42.95 – $50.71 per hour
