The Clarence Correctional Centre is a state-of-the-art facility located on the beautiful NSW North Coast, offering a unique opportunity to make a real difference in your community and beyond. As a member of our Rehabilitation & Reintegration Team, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess inmate suitability and develop strategies to improve participant attendance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering therapeutic and criminogenic programs to inmates based on Offense-Related Program (ORP) objectives
* Assessing inmate suitability and maintaining accurate documentation of progress
* Evaluating and recommending strategies to improve participant attendance while considering the needs of individuals
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and participating in ongoing training and development
* Promoting rehabilitation initiatives and contributing to reducing reoffending
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
* A qualification in Psychology, Criminology, Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services, or other related discipline
* A Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Case Management) or completed within the first 24 months of employment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prepare and submit accurate reports within required timeframes
