The Opportunity
Ventia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Seamstress to join our team based in Nowra. Reporting to the Site Lead you will be a vital team member who is responsible for providing essential tailoring services to Defence personnel.
1 x part-time permanent position: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8am-4pm

Key duties will include
Perform Seamsperson tasks including sewing of rank badges, medals and insignias
Perform basic clothing alterations such as hemming
Perform tailoring measurements of customers
Help clients & customers by assisting with outfitting and kitting of clothing
Ensuring accurate work order records are kept
General clothing store duties including ensuring clothing store inventory records are accurate
Could you be our next Seamstress
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and therefore must be an Australian Citizen
Experience in measuring and fitting clothing items
Experience in altering clothing items
Experience in clothing store operations
Experience in scheduling workloads and meeting production deadlines
Must have a customer service-focused approach to all interactions
Confident use of basic MS Office suite for record keeping
