Job Title: ICT Infrastructure Specialist
This role requires a highly skilled Network Architect/Consultant to assess and improve the current ICT fibre network infrastructure across four major Tasmanian public hospitals.
Main Responsibilities:
* Document current-state ICT fibre network infrastructure, including policy and standards for site fibre/comms resiliency.
* Assess risks and identify single points of failure in current fibre layouts.
* Develop a remediation and implementation plan for each site, including recommended upgrades or reconfigurations and prioritised actions based on risk and criticality.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing resilient network infrastructure, including dual fibre backbone, power protection, and fire-protected rooms where applicable. Strong stakeholder engagement skills are also required to present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and implementing network infrastructure solutions.
* Expertise in fibre optic cabling, networking protocols, and network security.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
