ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Service Manager and working alongside the Workshop Controller, as the Workshop Foreman you will be responsible for overseeing the workshop staff and ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of the day-to-day workshop operations. This role will require a hands‐on approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage and oversee the daily operations workshop teams
* Assign work to technicians and ensure that all work is completed on time and to a high standard
* Provide technical guidance and support to technicians
* Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed
* Monitor and maintain workshop equipment and tools
* Ensure that all reporting to the manufacturer is accurate
* Track and report on workshop productivity and performance
REQUIREMENTS
* Previous experience as a Dealership workshop foreman or similar role
* Leadership and management skills or a Qualified Technician looking to take the next step in their career
* Excellent technical knowledge of automotive light vehicles; including petrol, diesel and electric
* Ability to assist in the diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues following manufacturer guidelines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations
