Overview
Original Spin is looking for aPublic Relations& MarketingCoordinatortojoin our Sydney team and support campaigns for some of Australia's most exciting cultural events, including Sydney Film Festival.
This role is ideal for an early career communications professional who wants hands on experience delivering high profile PR and marketing campaigns in the arts and entertainment sector. You will work closely with senior staff to help deliver major campaigns, coordinate mediaactivity,and support theday-to-dayoperations that bring large scale cultural events to life.
You will play a key support role on the Sydney Film Festival campaign, one of the largest film festivals in the Southern Hemisphere, working across premieres, press screenings, mediaannouncements,and festival events.
What You Will Be Doing
* Supporting senior staff in the delivery of publicity campaigns for major cultural clients,includingSydney Film Festival.
* Drafting media materials such as media releases, pitches, briefing notes and media alerts.
* Building andmaintainingmedia lists and coordinating outreach to journalists,producers,and influencers.
* Monitoring and tracking media coverage andassistingwith campaign reporting.
* Coordinating interview schedules, mediaopportunities,and press events.
* Assistingwith social media coordination and campaigncoordination.
* Supporting the team on the ground at events including premieres,launches,and festival activations.
What We Are Looking For
* Ideally 1 years' experiencein public relations,marketing,or communications,preferablywithin an agency,media,or cultural organisation.
* Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, professional communications materials.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in afast-pacedenvironment.
* Confidence communicating with media and industry stakeholders.
* A sharp eye for detail and pride in producingaccurate, polished work.
* A genuine interest in film, arts,culture,and major events.
* A university degree in communications, marketing, media,journalism,or a related field.
