About the Role
Join the Visual Media Association (VMA) as a Senior Advisor – Workplace Relations and play a key role in promoting positive workplace culture, resolving complex issues, and driving best practices in industrial relations. You’ll advise members, manage cases, and support workplace change across a dynamic and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide expert advice on awards, legislation, and industrial instruments
2. Manage complex workplace relations matters, investigations, and outcomes
3. Deliver early intervention strategies, including ADR and restorative practices
4. Support enterprise agreement development and policy implementation
5. Facilitate negotiations and resolve disputes
6. Offer training, research, and compliance guidance
7. Lead performance management and consultative committee support
8. Assist with Fair Work Commission matters and HR/IR portal management
About You
1. 6+ years' experience in workplace/industrial relations
2. Strong knowledge of Fair Work Act, enterprise agreements, and modern awards
3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
4. Relevant degree in HR, IR, Law or similar
5. Proven ability in handling Fair Work applications and dispute resolution
6. Strong stakeholder engagement and policy development capabilities
