About You

About The Role
The Graduate Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of financial data and transactional processing. You'll work to established deadlines, follow defined accounting procedures, and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. As a recent graduate, you'll benefit form ongoing mentoring and support from our Corporate Accounting team, while also gaining valuable exposure across multiple departments. Reporting to the Finance Manager – Corporate Accounting, you'll become a trusted and valued member of a collaborative and high-performing team.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Data Entry and Transaction Recording: Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly and correctly.
· Capital Expenditure Administration: Assist in the administration of the capital expenditure process
· Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
· Support Month-End Close: Help with the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, maintaining schedules, and ensuring all financial data is up-to-date.
· Document Management: Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly filed for future reference.
· Assist with Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of basic financial reports and statements under the supervision of senior accountants.
· Ad Hoc Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks as needed, such as data compilation, report generation, and assisting with special projects or research tasks as directed by supervisors.
