About the Role

This role sits within our Customer Experience division, which spans four key departments: Customer Support, Sales, Service and Warranty, and Online Reputation. Based at our Acacia Ridge head office, you will be the voice of KickAss Products, playing a pivotal role in driving sales through proactive and reactive customer interactions.

Your focus will be handling inbound and outbound calls, assisting customers with product advice, closing sales opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service is delivered at every touchpoint. Collaborating with various departments, you'll develop expert knowledge of our 12V products, enabling you to drive sales while building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Support Specialist, your mission is to exceed customer expectations while achieving sales targets. You'll be the first point of contact for customers and a key driver in growing revenue and brand loyalty.

* Inbound Sales Calls - Handle inbound sales inquiries with professionalism and confidence. Provide expert advice tailored to customer needs and close sales effectively.
* Outbound Sales Calls - Conduct outbound calls to follow up with potential leads, upsell or cross-sell products, and share product updates.
* Customer Relationship Building - Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
* Product Knowledge - Maintain an in-depth understanding of KickAss products to provide accurate recommendations.
* Sales Reporting - Accurately log customer interactions, sales activities, and outcomes into the CRM system.
* Customer Feedback - Encourage satisfied customers to leave product reviews and company feedback to enhance brand reputation.

Selection Criteria

Essential

1. Comprehensive knowledge of 12V power systems, 4WD setups, and Aussie camping gear.
Strong understanding of off-grid essentials, caravanning, and the broader outdoor adventure scene, with the ability to speak confidently about local regulations and industry trends.
2. Professional experience level knowledge of 12V power systems is required.
3. Proven success in Australian phone-based sales.
Demonstrated track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets while building genuine rapport with Aussie customers over the phone.
4. Minimum 1-2 years of phone-based sales experience is required.
5. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Skilled in active listening, handling objections in a friendly yet assertive manner, and communicating product benefits clearly to a local audience.
6. Proactive outbound sales mindset.
Willingness to pick up the phone, follow up leads, and reach out to potential customers across Australia, showcasing a can-do attitude.
7. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Experienced in juggling multiple leads, keeping accurate records of customer interactions, and following through on promises.
8. Quick learning ability for technical product details.
Capable of rapidly understanding new gear or technology and translating complex features into real-world value for Aussie customers, whether they're heading into the bush or caravanning along the coast.
9. Proficiency in CRM and customer support tools.
Comfortable using platforms like Gorgias, Aircall, or similar solutions to manage customer interactions and maintain a productive sales pipeline.
10. Customer-first approach with a genuine passion for Aussie adventures.
Driven to deliver an exceptional experience, from first contact to post-purchase support, helping customers gear up for the outback, beach trips, or wherever the road takes them.
