eXcellerate is seeking a hands-on Senior Process Engineer with an immediate start to support the safe, efficient operation of a large-scale Solar Evaporation Pilot Facility to generate KTMS feed material for a future Sulphate of Potash (SOP) Pilot Plant. About the Role:
This role will directly shape the success of this pilot program by initially operating a trial KTMS solar evaporation crystalliser to provide KTMS to the future sulphate of potash pilot facility. The successful candidate will form part of a small, high-performing team responsible for:
* Day-to-day supervision of the solar evaporation facility to ensure production of quality KTMS product in a safe and sustainable manner.
* Safe operation & in-field leadership.
* Process monitoring.
* Commissioning new assets.
* Implementing business process to ensure smooth operations and useful data is acquired from the pilot plants.
* Stakeholder engagement.
What you will offer:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Capacity to diagnose complex process issues, interpret data, and develop practical, efficient engineering solutions.
* Technical expertise and industry knowledge
Understand process design, engineering standards, and relevant industry technologies (e.g., mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, mining) with a minimum of 5 years' experience (FIFO experience highly regarded). Experience as an operational supervisor would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts, collaborate across teams (operations, maintenance, safety, projects), and influence decisions.
* Leadership and mentoring capability
Ability to provide guidance, provide technical leadership, and contribute to building a high-performing culture.
