Join Sugar Australia & Wilmar Ingredients as a National Account Manager based at our Macquarie Park NSW office.
This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a commercially savvy and relationship driven sales professional, to manage a portfolio of high value domestic accounts across the food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and personal/home care industries.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for leading a diverse customer portfolio and driving retention, growth, and new business development across Sugar Australia and Wilmar Ingredients.
What you'll be doing: As National Account Manager, you'll be the primary relationship owner for selected customer accounts, responsible for: Managing customer relationships to ensure continuity and growth.Managing pricing and margins to achieve sales and profit targets.Identifying and developing new B2B opportunities across the food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and personal/home care sectors.Supporting innovation, NPD, and market development in collaboration with customers and internal teams.Maintaining accurate sales forecasts and collaborating with planning teams to ensure reliable customer supply.Managing quality or supply issues in a timely, cost-effective way.Collaborating with logistics, planning, technical, and customer service teams to deliver seamless customer experiences.Capturing customer insights and market intelligence in CRM systems to support procurement, planning, and commercial strategy.Monitoring competitor activity and implementing strategies to maintain market leadership.Reporting monthly on business activities and financial performance.
As this role involves occasional travel, flexibility is essential.
What you'll bring: To succeed in this role, you'll be commercially savvy with a hands-on approach - confident in leading negotiations, building strong partnerships, and uncovering new opportunities across the food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and personal/home care sectors.
You'll also be comfortable working with data, forecasts and systems, while stepping in to resolve day-to-day customer challenges.
We're looking for someone with: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline5+ years B2B sales experience in food & beverage, personal/home care, or complementary healthcare manufacturingA track record of success managing key accounts, delivering on sales targets, and driving profitable growthExperience developing customer and product plans, with a focus on pricing strategies and margin managementExperience supporting NPD, innovation, or market development with customersStrong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, pricing, and supply agreementsExperience using CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, SAP, and BW are highly desirable)Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into actionsExcellent communication and relationship building skills with both customers and internal teamsA proactive, solutions focused mindset with the ability to think creatively, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environmentA collaborative style and commitment to working as part of a national and cross-business team About Sugar Australia: Sugar Australia is the nation's trusted partner in sugar and ingredient solutions, enabling our customers to make great products for every home since 1855.
